Lolo Jones, who is the athlete of the USA and World hurdles, has earned this title after a long period working hard and a lot of patience. Jones was the only child of a five-child family, and grew up in a very poor environment. She was constantly in motion and even been living in the basement of a church for a duration. Jones won both the indoor and outdoor hurdles at the NCAA Championship in 2003. Jones has been training since 2005, when she completed her studies. Jones won Torino Memorial in 2005, as well as Ostrava and Heusden races the following year.

Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. Brandt, discovered by local casting agents, took the lead role of Naevia in the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena.
