Sutton Foster, an actor who sings, dances, and performs, has appeared in eleven Broadway productions and the most recent revival of Violet. She also originated parts in Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women. Her Tony Award winning performances include Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as Young Frankenstein. Star Search was her first TV appearance at the age of fifteen. Then she appeared in Bunheads as well as Psych as well as Johnny and the Sprites and Flight of the Conchords. As a solo artist, Sutton has performed all over the country in addition to internationally along with her musical director Michael Rafter... featuring songs from her first solo CD "Wish" along with her second album "An Evening With Sutton Foster: Live at the Cafe Carlyle." Sutton Foster has appeared on stage at Carnegie Hall, Feinstein's, the Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, Joe's Pub among others. Ball State University conferred her with an Honorary PhD in the year 2011. As well as being an advisor and professor within the Department of Theatre and Dance She was also conferred this degree by Ball State University. She has been starring in TV Land's "Younger", created by Darren Star, since March 2015.
