Gale who was 18 at the time was 18 when she won a Perth model contest in the year she was 18. Gale won a modeling contest in Perth, at the age of 18. Following a number of years in the field, Gale became famous when she was selected to appear in an advertisement campaign of Omnitel (which is now an Italian telecom enterprise (now Vodafone Italy). They used her in advertisements up to 2006 and was retained in 2003 in 2003 by the Australian Tourist Commission as the "face of Australia for Italy.' Gale can also be seen in editorial pages of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia and Australian Cosmopolitan. Gale modeled for Italian houses such as Gianfranco ferre Genny as well as Gai Matiolo. She also did runway shows at Milan Fashion Week for Mariella burani as well as Angelo Marani. 9 Gale is also a fan of many Australian designers such as Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. Gale was also the fashion expert for the Logies, which is an Australian television show. In January of 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modelling after 15 years. She took to the catwalk one last moment a few days later at the David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had been planning to wear in film Justice League of America film and was in the process of in development.
