Maria Menounos

Maria found out she was facing a personal health crisis as she took care of her mother with stage 4 brain tumors. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She told PEOPLE that she had been suffering from lightheadedness and headaches since February 2014. "My speech became disorganized. Also, I had difficulty reading the prompter on the teleprompter." An MRI revealed Menounos to be suffering from a massive meningioma brain tumor that increased to the size of a golf ball. It was pushing on the facial nerves. Menounos booked an appointment with her mother's doctor, famous surgeon Dr. Keith L. Black to schedule surgery on June 8, her 39th birthday. He said that it was 98 per cent benign. However, we wouldn't know that until the time they reach. The complicated procedure took around seven hours. Dr. Black was capable of removing 99.9% of the benign cancer. According to Dr. Black, there is the possibility of the tumor recurring. They're my best choice. Menounos, who was admitted to hospital for six days, is back at home and spending recovering.
